Product Developer/Designer

KOMONO is searching for a Product developer who will integrate our design team and develop some of the most beautiful frames on the market. We’re looking for someone who is passionate about material, productions processes. This is the perfect position for a designer/developer who has an eye for detail, excels at meeting deadlines, and stays organized with complete ease.


In this role you will be responsible for all aspects of KOMONO’s development of eyewear and accessories. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Create and manage all functional elements in Product Development process, including but not limited to: Tech Packs, Spec Sheets and Bill of Materials (B.O.M.).
  • Follow and manage overseas production of Eyewear and accessories.
  • Negotiate costing with vendors/suppliers to achieve margin targets with high quality.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously with ease.


To be successful in this role you will need:

  • Sound knowledge of the product development and manufacturing processes.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with deadline-driven and detail-oriented attitude.
  • Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite (esp. Illustrator and Photoshop), including proficiency in vectoring and rendering art files.
  • 3D CAD/rendering software knowledge is a bonus – Rhino, Keyshot.
  • Experience in eyewear design is a bonus.
  • Reliability, conscientiousness and ability to work under pressure.
  • Team player with strong interpersonal skills.
